Concord has a medical detox program for adults 18 and over. Pyramid Healthcare Boston Metro is that program for men and women in acute withdrawal. Care runs around the clock, which means symptoms can be watched as they change.

In Massachusetts, Boston Metro’s detox is called Acute Treatment Services, or ATS.
Which medications are used?
Buprenorphine, a medication for opioid use disorder, is offered as Suboxone. Naltrexone, also a medication for opioid use disorder, is offered as Vivitrol, and counseling and behavioral therapies come with both. The center accepts people who are already on methadone.
What comes after detox?
The next level at Boston Metro is residential care, called Clinical Stabilization Services, or CSS. That care includes a psychiatric assessment and gender-specific groups.
Partial hospitalization isn’t offered at this location, and neither is an outpatient program. Planning for after detox includes a referral to outpatient care.
The center serves the greater Boston area from Concord, and you can be admitted any hour of the year. A free ride both ways is available in Middlesex County. If you have MassHealth, the center accepts it.
