Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is provided to adults with a substance use dependency. The FDA approved medications that are provided are Buprenorphine and Naltrexone. These medications help prevent relapsing by easing your withdrawal symptoms and reducing your cravings. With your withdrawal symptoms under control, you will be able to focus on your recovery journey.

Counseling and therapy will be combined with your MAT services. The medications help you feel physically better and the counseling will help you feel better emotionally and physically. As you work with the counselor, you will learn to change your behaviors and thoughts to avoid the use of substances in your future.

The perk of their outpatient program (OP) is that you are able to receive treatment and live at home. Your treatment plan is customized to your needs and goals. Since the program provides you with a flexible schedule, you’ll still be able to go work and attend school in the local borough or in the greater Boston region. You will also be able to take care of your family responsibilities. Perhaps the biggest perk is that outpatient treatment is cheaper than inpatient addiction recovery treatment.
