About Rockland Recovery

Rockland Recovery is accredited by The Joint Commission as an addiction treatment center on Franklin Street in the Town of Braintree, Massachusetts. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient programs for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. They have inpatient detox for drugs and alcohol as well as medication assisted treatment (MAT) for detoxing from opioids. The facility accepts insurance from most major carriers, including Aetna, Humana, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and many others.

Detox is the initial phase of your recovery and an important step for long term sobriety. The process breaks your body’s physical dependence on alcohol or drugs. During detox at this facility, you’ll have close supervision from medical professionals. If you’re having uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms like dehydration, insomnia, nausea, or vomiting, medical staff will administer the appropriate medications to alleviate your symptoms. Detox gives you a stable foundation to begin the rehab process. If you have an opioid addiction, you may be put on MAT treatment with methadone, buprenorphine, or other medications.

As you move through the detox process, you’ll begin to address the psychological aspects of your substance use. Many people with substance use disorder have co-occurring mental health disorders driving the substance use.

A co-occurring disorder is a mental health challenge such as bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety. Substance use is often an attempt at self medicating uncomfortable feelings and symptoms associated with the co-occurring disorder. Therapy helps you get to the root of your substance use and gives you better tools to cope with your symptoms and feelings so you no longer feel the need to use substances. The recovery center has a special treatment program for clients with underlying disorders.

Once you’ve gone through detox, you and your treatment team will decide on an aftercare plan. You may opt to continue as an inpatient or move to a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), or regular outpatient program (OP). The facility offers special gender specific programs for drug and alcohol rehab since men and women respond differently to different treatments.

They also have sober living facilities throughout Massachusetts. These homes offer additional structure as you make your ways toward independence.

One former client said the center saved their life. Other clients mentioned the professional, caring, and accommodating staff.
