About Serenity
Serenity at Summit New England provides acute treatment services (ATS) in Haverhill, Massachusetts. At this expansive, state of the art facility, the clinicians are trained in all of the latest evidence based medical treatment methods. Insurance is accepted.
Their medically supervised detox will be your first step in the recovery process. During this time, you will rid your body of addictive substances. It is the most critical part of your treatment as it will lay the foundation for further treatment services.
Your detox plan will be completely customized to tailor your specific needs. It will also be based on your substance and medical history. The medical team will monitor you round the clock. They will also help to safely manage your withdrawal symptoms.
If you are experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms and/or cravings, they are able to provide medication assisted treatment (MAT). The medications will help satisfy your body’s chemical needs without substance abuse. Once the medications help ease your symptoms, you will be able to focus on your recovery.
The length of your detox stay may range three to seven days, or longer. The length will vary per persona as it is dependent on the severity of your addiction. You will participate in evidence based therapies such as motivational interviewing (MI) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
The rooms will be spacious and you’ll have the option for private accommodations. I like that you will also have access to the fitness facility, recreational area and you’ll have chef prepared meals.
Once you complete medical detox, you will be transferred to their clinical stabilization services (CSS). During this portion of treatment, you’ll live at the facility and address the root cause of your addiction. They do provide dual diagnosis treatment as well.
