About Spectrum Health Systems
Spectrum Health Systems helps opioid-dependent adults in Millbury and the greater Worcester County area of Massachusetts take the first step toward recovery through medication-assisted treatment (MAT). This is one of over a dozen outpatient opioid recovery clinics operated by Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., a leading addiction treatment provider serving New England since 1969.
Integrated Opioid Recovery With Medication Support
Opioid recovery at this clinic begins with a thorough clinical assessment, medical evaluation & monitoring and personalized care planning. You’ll be prescribed either methadone or Vivitrol as part of your tailored care package to help you curb physiological cravings and alleviate painful withdrawal symptoms.
You’ll then attend outpatient therapy and addiction education sessions to build coping skills, strengthen relapse prevention strategies and address the roots of your opioid dependency. They may involve your family members in the recovery process when appropriate, educating them about addiction and how to best support your journey.
This helps create positive, healthy family dynamics that make your path to recovery smoother. You may also receive psychiatric support as part of integrated care that addresses co-occurring mental health issues.
Prompt and Immediate Access To Care
The facility offers same-day admission once a week. You’ll complete the intake, physical exam and toxicology requirements. This typically takes between three and four hours, and you can receive your first dose that day if the medical team decides it’s appropriate.
They also offer Saturday dosing to provide added flexibility for those with busy schedules or other commitments. Patients appreciated the support they received from the compassionate professionals in this clinic. One client noted, “They are so nice and not judgmental. They are very quick and when there is a wait it’s not for a long period of time.”
