About Transcend Recovery Community
Transcend Recovery Community is a sober living residence in New York, New York that provides structured transitional housing for men in recovery on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Men who are in need of detox treatment are referred to a treatment facility before being accepted as a recovery resident.
What kind of recovery support is offered?
Transcend provides sober living and transitional housing with a tiered system that promotes gradual independence over 30+ day stays. The program includes recovery mentoring, peer coaching, case management, transportation to outpatient treatment and therapy appointments, and collaboration with external clinical teams.
Residents also participate in twice-weekly experiential classes such as mindfulness meditation, yoga, acupuncture, and Pilates. A chaperone service supports new residents during their first 30 days to help them adjust to both recovery and the Manhattan environment.
Where is the residence located?
Transcend is housed in a multi-story brownstone on the Upper West Side which is one block from Broadway and blocks from Central Park and Riverside Park. The neighborhood offers easy subway access, museums, restaurants, art galleries, and cultural venues.
Does Transcend accept insurance?
The program accepts most private insurance and offers payment plan assistance. Program costs range from $5,700 to $12,000 depending on length of stay, and multiple payment methods are accepted including health savings accounts.
