VIP — Residential Treatment Program in the New York Bronx area, provides inpatient support for adults with substance abuse issues. The facility is proudly LGBTQ+ friendly, and also supports individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, along with most major health insurance plans. Sliding scale fees and financial assistance are also available to eligible individuals.

The residential program at VIP is designed to support individuals in need of 24-hour support and supervision. This program provides a structured, safe environment in which clients can heal and grow.
While detox services aren’t provided, the team can support in getting individuals connected to relevant local services and specialists who can help. Individuals are advised against attempting detox alone for safety reasons. A local mobile MAT unit can reach your community.
Services provided on this program span group and individual counseling, medication management, assessment services, peer support, and vocational services. Residents also engage in workshops in which they learn the skills they need for successful independent living, while discharge planning is also included.
The focus of this program is on stabilization, rehabilitation, and reintegration as core foundational elements of recovery.
Community Support & Early Intervention Services
The facility also provides various services and supplies to help lessen the stigma around addiction, prevent the spread of related diseases, and access vulnerable individuals in need of support using a person-centered approach. Supplies provided include syringes, wound care kits, safe sex accessories, naloxone for opioid overdose recovery, and fentanyl/xylazine test strips.
The community team also distributes hygiene kits, food, clothing, and other essentials to those in need via outreach and local partnerships. Early intervention services include counseling, addiction assessments, and free HIV testing services.
