Dallas Counseling and Treatment Center- Uptown
About Dallas Counseling and Treatment Center- Uptown
Dallas Counseling and Treatment Center has several locations in the Dallas Fort Worth area, including this Uptown location. Situated on a service road between Haskell and Fitzhugh Avenues, they are close to several restaurants, parks and museums in the Belmont Park neighborhood.
Private Outpatient Treatment Options
They are a private outpatient office that offers a variety of mental health treatment options. While they do not have a focused substance use disorder treatment program, they do address many of the underlying mental health conditions that can trigger addictive behavior, and they can give you referrals for detox and other addiction care you might need.
For example they provide eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and intensive EMDR, which are often used to treat trauma and related conditions. Other mental health conditions associated with substance use disorders include anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder and gender dysphoria. Therapists at this location are adept at addressing these mental health conditions to lower your level of stress and support your recovery after you have completed a more structured substance use disorder program.
Medication Prescriptions and Management
Several of the providers in their program prescribe medications when needed and can continue or support your medication assisted treatment program. Other providers are equipped to provide medication management to ensure that your prescription medications continue to be effective and reduce the potential for long term side effects.
This location has many therapists from which to choose, including those who work remotely and offer telehealth options. Many of their therapists work with a variety of health insurance providers in the state. You can also pay out of pocket and they will work with you to find an alternative private pay option when you don’t have insurance.
