Harbortown Treatment Center Outpatient Services

The center offers intensive outpatient programs, regular outpatient care and outpatient detox for adolescents and adults, with master’s level trained counselors on staff. Since 2006, Harbortown has provided evidence based, compassionate care that combines FDA approved medications with therapy to help clients build lasting recovery.

Medication Assisted Care

Harbortown’s core focus is treating opioid use disorder through a medication assisted treatment program. The center offers FDA approved medications including methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol combined with individual and group counseling to address both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction.

Treatment incorporates evidence based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, the matrix model and contingency management to support behavior change. Sessions focus on relapse prevention, trauma informed care and building practical coping skills, with clients receiving personalized care from counselors who take a humanistic approach to removing the fog of addiction. Past clients have credited the center with life changing recovery, praising staff members for being straightforward and supportive.

Support Beyond Addiction Treatment

Harbortown also addresses co-occurring mental health disorders including depression and anxiety, PTSD and ADHD with integrated counseling services. The center offers Peer Recovery Support Services connecting clients with trained professionals who have lived recovery experience for authentic, compassionate guidance alongside clinical care.

Harbortown serves the Benton Harbor community with both in person outpatient services and telehealth therapy options. The center has maintained CARF accreditation for its opioid treatment program since 2006 meeting rigorous national standards for quality care.

The facility accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private health insurance, state financed plans and self payment options.
