Outpatient detox is one of the most flexible ways to get started with substance use treatment. It allows people to continue to attend work or school and take care of their usual responsibilities while still getting help. Clients will attend the facility for treatment, possibly daily or a few times a week. This is a great option for those who do not want to live in residence during detox.
MAT is a program that can begin during detox and continue in residential or outpatient treatment. It is an effective, evidence-based method for dealing with opioid addiction. People enrolled in MAT will receive one or more medications that have been designed to block the pleasant effects of drugs. This helps prevent overdose and relapse. Also, clients will focus on their addictive tendencies, trauma and past behaviors during individual counseling.
