About Community Healthlink – Motivating Youth Recovery

Community Healthlink Motivating Youth Recovery is an adolescent addiction treatment center in Worcester, Massachusetts and offers detox and short term residential stabilization for teens ages 13 to 17.

As part of UMass Memorial Health and a clinical affiliate of UMass Chan Medical School, the program provides 24 hour medical monitoring, individual and family therapy, and comprehensive aftercare planning.

Motivating Youth Recovery accepts private health insurance, TRICARE, MassHealth, and Medicaid. A sliding fee scale based on income is available for uninsured clients and the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Abuse Services may offer financial assistance in some cases.

Inpatient Detox and Residential Stabilization

The program provides hospital inpatient detox with 24 hour medical monitoring for withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and methamphetamine, plus residential stabilization with an average stay of 14 days.

Treatment includes individual therapy, group counseling, family therapy, relapse prevention, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation. Assessments are conducted within 72 hours and discharge planning connects families with ongoing community based services.

Substance Use Treatment for Youth

Motivating Youth Recovery serves adolescents ages 13 to 17 with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, and PTSD. The program welcomes LGBTQ teens and offers gender specific programming for boys and girls, including specialized support for those who have experienced trauma or sexual abuse.
