FAQs

What levels of care does Seafield Center offer?

Seafield Center provides inpatient detox and inpatient rehabilitation in a 100-bed program for men and women over 16. Naltrexone and Buprenorphine are offered to support recovery, and there is more on medication assisted detox. Dual-focused groups are available for depression, anxiety and other co-occurring disorders. Daily meetings on site follow Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous principles.

How often are recovery meetings held on site?

Meetings tied to Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous principles are held on site every day. They take place inside a 100-bed inpatient program in Westhampton Beach that provides both detox and inpatient rehabilitation. That daily meeting is the stated rhythm.

How does payment work if insurance will not cover treatment?

Insurance comes first. Seafield is contracted with most insurance companies and makes every attempt to use that coverage before other options. If treatment is not covered, self-pay rates are available. The page on using insurance for detox explains how coverage can apply.

What is the setting like for someone arriving in person?

The inpatient program sits on six acres in Westhampton Beach. On the grounds are a basketball court, a gift shop, in-house chefs, a laundry room and a recreation room. Intake help covers questions and transportation to treatment.

Who can be admitted, and how are groups divided?

Placement splits men and women into gender specific groups so each group can address its own needs. A client under 18 must be transported to and from the program by a parent or legal guardian and must bring an immunization record. Specialty groups for LGBT clients, eating disorders and domestic violence victims form when community needs call for them.
