Zumbro Valley Health Center Crisis Receiving Unit/Detox

Their medical detox services help clients withdraw from opioids, alcohol, or other drugs under 24-hour supervision. If clients require medication assisted treatment to manage the physical discomfort of withdrawal, lessen cravings and minimize their risk of relapse, providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications.

Once clients begin medical detox, they can also participate in adjunctive services, including individual and group counseling and relapse prevention training, to address the mental and emotional aspects of addiction recovery. Providers may also make referrals to other departments within the Zumbro Valley Health Center for necessary medical services.

Providers can make recommendations and referrals to appropriate community resources that can help clients achieve long-term recovery. These may include additional counseling services, peer support groups, career training and similar programs.
