HealthSource Saginaw’s Pathways Chemical Dependency Center is a hospital based inpatient addiction treatment program serving adults ages 18 and older in Saginaw, Michigan. The program offers medically monitored detox, individual and group counseling, and specialized care for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Detox and Inpatient Treatment

The center specializes in hospital inpatient treatment with medically monitored subacute detox for alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids. The program is part of a larger multi specialty hospital, allowing access to medical services as well.

Treatment incorporates evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, the matrix model, and relapse prevention alongside 12 step methods. Sessions emphasize individual goal setting and changing thought patterns to build self confidence while addressing underlying issues. Medication assisted treatment is available, including buprenorphine, naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram.

Special Programs for Co-occurring Disorders

The program offers specialized treatment for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders that involves psychiatrists from the adjacent Behavioral Medicine Center. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and has been serving the community since 1930.

The program accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, military insurance, and offers sliding scale fees and payment assistance for those with financial need.
