About Cenikor Foundation Austin
The Cenikor Foundation of Austin provides adults with addiction treatment in Austin, Texas. The organization is accredited by CARF and is LegitScript certified. They’re about 20 minutes from the city’s urban downtown.
Insurance is accepted. If you’re uninsured, they will be able to offer you a payment plan. As a nonprofit, they’re able to help with deductible costs and co-pays if you meet certain criteria.
Their medically supported detox program will provide you with round the clock medical care. They do allow for same day admissions. The staff will help develop a discharge plan for you and provide you with referrals.
Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available, if needed. It’s not offered as a stand alone service, and individual counseling will be included. I do like that they have evening and weekend appointments available. Their treatment is patient specific and will be tailored to you and your needs.
The residential program is going to provide you with comprehensive treatment and care. The length of the program is going to vary person by person. It will all be dependent on your needs and the severity of your addiction.You will be introduced to the 12 Step program. I like that you will be able to build connections with your peers. During group therapy, you’ll be able to learn and relate from shared to similar experiences. You’ll be able to build your sober community and learn life skills.
If you do not need 24 hour care but still need a structured environment, they have a partial hospitalization program. You’ll attend sessions five days per week for six hours per day. If there are outdoor excursions, you might go to a nearby rec center like Katherine Fleischer Park to unwind and enjoy nature.
What I like is that their aftercare program is offered complimentary for two years. You’ll be able to have one on one recovery coaching sessions. Your recovery coach will be able to help you with any challenges and serve as an example as they have also lived the recovery experience. You’ll also be able to attend their sober events to help keep you engaged.
