About Integrity House Secaucus
Integrity House is a CARF-accredited non-profit organization with multiple locations across New Jersey. one of their campuses is in a quiet corner of Secaucus. Integrity House helps individuals and families get comprehensive addiction or mental health treatment to bring about a positive long-term recovery.
Their Secaucus location serves Hudson County by offering medication assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric services virtually through their outpatient program. I like that you don’t need an in-person intake appointment to be admitted. They also have walk-in evaluation hours most days.
MAT is an effective treatment for opioid use disorders. Clinical professionals will prescribe FDA approved medication and pair that with behavioral therapies. Medication alone is not enough to combat the deep roots of addiction. That’s why I think MAT is such a great option. You’ll get individual and group counseling sessions to unpack the factors and experiences that led to your addictive tendencies. In your sessions, you’ll also set and work towards healthy goals, learn how to reframe negative thoughts, and develop coping strategies to deal with life’s challenges.
Integrity House also offers short and long-term residential programs as well as a halfway house in Newark and Secaucus. If you are just beginning your recovery journey or need to receive treatment away from home, these residential programs could be useful.
Another feature I like is their community behavioral health clinic. They offer folks access to crisis stabilization services 24/7. I appreciate that they offer this both via telephone and in-person so that it’s as accessible as possible. This clinic also performs risk and needs assessments, provides peer and family support services, helps you coordinate your health care and social services, and provides mental health and addiction services. You can make an appointment for this clinic but they also welcome walk-ins.
