About Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC): Houston Drug and Alcohol Rehab

Located in Houston, Texas, Prevention and Recovery Center (PaRC): Houston Drug and Alcohol Rehab provides a drug and alcohol detox program for individuals struggling with substance use disorder. They provide these services in a safe environment so your first step toward recovery can be comfortable. The staff strives to provide an individualized approach, recognizing that every person has unique needs.

Detox Treatment in Houston, TX

The facility is located in the northwest Houston area on Glessner Road, which puts you far outside of the main city so you can have the peace you need to focus on recovery. You’ll also be not far from relaxing nature scenery such as Addicks Reservoir.

The facility offers individual same-day admission to get you started with detox as soon as possible. Their detox service is provided to teens, adults, professionals and executives. The staff features physicians, licensed counselors and nurses with years of experience.

MAT and Customized Counseling

During detox a physician will monitor your progress. Some of the symptoms you may experience as you begin withdrawal are a racing heart, muscle tension and nausea. If it’s determined to be appropriate, you’ll be prescribed medications (medication assisted treatment, or MAT) to reduce your physical discomfort. Nurses will monitor your condition every two to four hours.

A counselor will meet with you to provide support and reassurance. They’ll assist you with the psychological and emotional symptoms you may experience during withdrawal, such as anxiety and depression.

When you’ve completed this treatment, PaRC will guide you toward other levels of care that can continue to treat your addiction. Through additional counseling, you’ll receive help identifying your triggers and developing a relapse prevention plan.
