The South Texas Veterans Health Care System Northwest San Antonio Clinic is a community based outpatient facility serving enrolled Veterans in San Antonio, Texas.

As part of one of the largest VA healthcare systems in the nation the clinic connects Veterans to comprehensive care with flexible telehealth and in-person options designed around work and life commitments. VA benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, military insurance, and private insurance are accepted, with payment assistance and benefits application support available.

Outpatient Detox and Medication Assisted Treatment

The Northwest San Antonio Clinic specializes in outpatient addiction treatment and dual diagnosis care for Veterans managing substance use alongside mental health conditions. Counseling is available both in-person at the clinic and online.

Sessions incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Veterans can access individual counseling, and group support. The clinic offers medication management including outpatient detox and medication assisted treatment.

Comprehensive VA Care and Referral Network

As part of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, the clinic connects Veterans to a full continuum of care, from outpatient counseling to residential treatment and detox programs at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital when higher levels of support are needed. Family counseling and couples therapy are also available to strengthen support systems during recovery.
