About Starlite Recovery Center
Starlite Recovery Center is a behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment center. They’re located on Mesa Verde Drive in a secluded corner of the Old West town of Center Point, Texas. For over 65 years, they’ve offered residential and outpatient programs for substance use and co-occurring disorders, and they have medically supervised detox.
They accept insurance from multiple commercial providers as well as TRICARE, TRIWEST, Optum/UHC, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The center has services for women and men ages 18 and up. They have an individualized treatment approach with unique programs such as the Freedom Program for LGBTQ+ individuals. They also have a Christian program, a first responder, and a Veterans program.
If you’re unable to stop using substances on your own, then a detox program is a good first step toward recovery. The center has an inpatient detox program where you’ll be in a safe environment, supervised by experienced professionals.
Detox is when you rid your body of the harmful substances you’ve been using. Some common symptoms of withdrawal include psychological distress, gastric distress, nausea, vomiting, headaches, anxiety, and insomnia. If you’re experiencing uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms, the staff will give you medications to ease you through the process.
While you’re in detox, you’ll have a chance to form healthy relationships through support groups. You’ll improve your communication skills and learn from others. You’ll also begin therapy to learn coping skills to avoid using substances. They have equine therapy, outdoor yoga and exercise, a gym, and large community spaces.
You’ll also work on a recovery and aftercare plan. Once you’re through detox, you’ll decide what type of program is the best next step. You may stay and remain in an inpatient program or you may go to an outpatient program, depending on what’s most appropriate for your situation.
