We strive to help our patients cope with drug and alcohol addictions, and we also work to help them develop the necessary tools and coping mechanisms required to manage the difficulties and daily challenges of life. About Turning Point Barnert Medical Arts Complex

At Turning Point, our patients know they have access to some of the most qualified staff in the nation. Our staff’s work is led Masters-level team members, licensed and credentialed in a variety of treatment areas. Their knowledge and experience directly benefits our patients on a daily basis.

In addition, our residential and detox programs are medically monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are happy that our practice has inspired trust and confidence in our patients. When people turn to Turning Point, they know they can depend on our medicine-based program and highly-qualified staff.

Our program is certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Integrated Behavioral Health in the areas of detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, and drug court treatment. CARF certification sets our center apart as adhering to the highest standards for care.

Turning Point offers a number of treatment programs for our valued patients, all based on the patient placement criteria the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) has established.

Policies

  • Once you are scheduled to our program and before you arrive, our staff will give you a list of items you will not be permitted to bring for admission with you. The same list will be included in your Patient Handbook and at your program orientation.
  • Detoxification patients may bring only five days’ worth of clothes. You may not bring books, magazines, cell phones, radios, portable music devices, or gum.
  • Important note regarding cigarettes: There are four smoke breaks per day. Patients who want to smoke cigarettes should bring cigarettes with them when they arrive. No rolled cigarettes or cigars.
  • We encourage our patients to involve their loved ones in their treatment and recovery efforts. Visitors are welcome to attend our family program / visitation hours. Families and loved ones are contacted by a Primary Counselor with details regarding days and times. Please note: Patients may not have visitors while they are in detox.
  • Residential services are offered only to adults 18 years of age or older.
