About CFC Recovery
HealingUS Communities, formerly known as CFC Recovery, fills a unique position in the substance abuse recovery sphere. They are focused on providing relapse prevention services for those who are already in or have completed treatment, filling a much needed gap in long term recovery. They’re based out of Brick Township, New Jersey.
They use a community based approach that brings those in recovery together and utilizes the many resources of the Jersey Shore area. Services include peer support and group outings celebrating sobriety. The group also operates several sober living homes.
Services are covered by a monthly $30 membership fee rather than insurance.
One on One Coaching
The group led peer support program is supported with biweekly personal coaching sessions. You’ll work one on one with your coach to navigate the membership stages and programs while discussing your goals for recovery. Your coach is there for you in all areas of your recovery, helping you with challenges in a way that reinforces your sobriety.
Work Support
Having a job that allows you to support yourself and your family is a pillar of sobriety maintenance. The career development program here will not only help you secure work, but it will also help you get a job that you’re proud of. It’s a small thing, but taking pride and joy in your work can be another factor in release prevention.
This organization seeks out and maintains relationships with local businesses that will provide employment opportunities to those in recovery. What’s great is that these opportunities work around your schedule, so they won’t conflict with treatment or recovery efforts. With an employer who understands your sobriety needs, you can feel more confident in your ability to meet expectations.
Monthly Mixers
Celebrating your sobriety is important, too. At these monthly events, you’ll get to meet other members and have fun while expanding your recovery network. Mixers are held at different locations throughout the Jersey Shore area, making use of different businesses and resources for a variety of fun social activities.
