About Core Health Services
Located in South Amboy, New Jersey, Core Health Services is an alcohol and drug rehab center for adults. They specialize in medical detox, residential treatment, and aftercare support, including specialized services for clients with co-occurring conditions.
Their medical detox program helps clients withdraw from opioids, alcohol, and other drugs in a safe, medically supervised environment. A team of multi-disciplinary providers assesses each client to understand their condition and create an individualized treatment plan. If a plan includes medication-assisted treatment (MAT), providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications, including buprenorphine and naltrexone, to improve client comfort, curb cravings, and minimize relapse risk during detoxification.
Their residential services occur in a full-service facility located near the Raritan Bay Waterfront Park. While in the program, clients can participate in an array of therapies designed to help them address the biological and psychological aspects of recovery. These can include individual and group counseling, 12 Step programming, addiction education, and complementary, evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and treatments based on The Matrix Model.
Following treatment, providers may be able to connect clients with community-based resources to continue their recovery. These services may include vocational training, transitional housing, peer support groups, and similar programs.
Core Health Services may be in-network with most major insurance providers, including Humana, Cigna, United Healthcare, BlueCross/BlueShield, TRICARE, and others. Ask your provider to verify your coverage because out of network benefits may vary.
