Red Lake Chemical Health Programs provides substance abuse recovery services in Minnesota. Serving members of the Red Lake Nation community, the program offers outpatient care, prevention and referrals for higher level care such as detox services. Clients may benefit from culturally grounded support that blends clinical services with traditional healing.
Full Care Continuum
Red Lake Chemical Health Programs provides substance use assessments, outpatient individual and group counseling, family counseling and aftercare to support long-term recovery. Case management and referrals for inpatient services are available when a higher level of care is needed.
The program also offers adult and youth prevention and education services. The team can also connect clients to outside agencies and resources for ongoing recovery assistance that may involve healthcare, insurance, housing and transportation.
Extended Services
Services extend to families impacted by addiction, and the Red Road to Wellness Program is designed for individuals with two or more DUI offenses in partnership with Red Lake Indian Health Services.
Since addiction affects family members, it can be helpful to include loved ones in treatment planning. The program can help them understand more about the disease of addiction and how to be a supportive network for ongoing sobriety.
Red Lake Chemical Health Programs integrates traditional healing services and access to a Spiritual Counselor alongside clinical treatment. This culturally specific approach honors the community’s values and supports healing in a way that resonates with Red Lake Nation members.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.

Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.

MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.
