T. Whitehead Recovery Center
About T. Whitehead Recovery Center
Whitehead Recovery Center is a transitional home for men in recovery from addiction to alcohol or drugs. They’re located in the Oregon neighborhood in Toledo, Ohio.
Their welcoming and structured 3/4 home aims to give men a stable environment in which they can establish sober habits before returning to full independence. They also host several Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Heroin Anonymous (HA) meetings each week for men and women in recovery. While they don’t offer medication assisted treatment or detox services, they may be able to refer you to a facility that can treat you.
Get a Second Chance and a Supportive Community
The T. Whitehead team has a heart for helping people who are re-entering society or in need of recovery support after experiencing a setback. They believe that everyone deserves a second chance.
Past clients mention feeling a genuine investment from the staff in their success and particularly praise the director’s hands-on approach to treatment. The program is strongly community-oriented and emphasizes the importance of building supportive relationships with other people in recovery. This is part of the reason they host so many recovery group meetings each week.
Centrally Located for a Vibrant Sober Life
The central location of the center makes it easy for you to fill your time between 12-step meetings and locally-beloved T. Whitehead fish fry events. For the literary inclined, they’re a few streets down from Birmingham Branch Library.
Walking in the opposite direction takes you to the National Museum of the Great Lakes where you can take a self-guided tour through an old ship. A short drive could take you to Birmingham Park – a relaxing neighborhood space with long stretches of grass and shaded and dog-friendly walking trails.
