The LCADA Way Avon Lake Wellness Center
About The LCADA Way Avon Lake Wellness Center
The LCADA Way Avon Lake Wellness Center is a private nonprofit organization that provides outpatient addiction treatment and mental health services in Avon Lake, Ohio. The center serves residents throughout Lorain, Cuyahoga, and Erie Counties.
Services include multiple levels of outpatient care, medication assisted treatment, and individual, group, and family counseling for substance use disorders, alcoholism, opioid addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Opioid Addiction Treatment With Medication Assisted Care
Guided by principles of Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication, and Advocacy, The LCADA Way delivers individualized, outcome driven care that supports families and promotes long term recovery.
The LCADA Way specializes in evidence based treatment for opioid use disorders, including heroin, fentanyl and prescription pain medication dependence. The center provides comprehensive medication assisted treatment using FDA cleared medications such as buprenorphine, methadone, oral and extended release naltrexone, and acamprosate. These medications are combined with counseling and behavioral therapies to support physical stabilization and emotional healing.
Outpatient Detox and Intensive Programming
Treatment options include outpatient detoxification, intensive outpatient programming, and standard outpatient services that are tailored to individual needs. Sessions incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management and community reinforcement methods. This integrated approach helps address both physical dependence and behavioral patterns while building practical recovery skills.
Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Mental Health Care
The center offers integrated mental health services for individuals managing both substance use and emotional health concerns. Treatment addresses addiction alongside conditions such as depression, anxiety and trauma related stress.
Clinicians use approaches such as rational emotive behavioral therapy and anger management counseling to support emotional regulation and healthy coping. By treating both conditions at the same time, the program promotes comprehensive healing and reduces the risk of relapse.
The center is accredited by The Joint Commission, CARF, and state agencies and has delivered behavioral health services since 1981. Payment options include Medicaid, private insurance, federal and state funding programs, and cash payment. A sliding fee scale is available based on income to help improve access to care.
