About Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (BBHH)
Jason’s Retreat, part of the Bakersfield Recovery Services network, offers drug rehab services in Bakersfield, California. The center provides residential detox, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and aftercare for young adult and adult men.
At Jason’s Retreat, clients have a structured environment to begin their recovery and ease withdrawal pains, and reduce cravings. Residential social detox can include group and individual counseling, support groups, and life skills development. Amenities include a dinging hall and a full kitchen.
In addition to detox, clients can participate in emotional wellness training to build resilience. Clients develop healthy life routines as they prepare to reintegrate into their communities. Extended services are available in the sober living program, and Bakersfield Recovery Services may make referrals to outside facilities and programs.
Jason’s Retreat offers self-pay and financing options. The center is in-network with HMO insurance “Brand New Day” and does not accept any other commercial carrier, such as Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, or Optum. Please check your coverage and out-of-network benefits from your insurance provider.
Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

Hospital Detox
Hospital detoxification allows you to withdraw from drugs or alcohol in a hospital setting. It’s ideal for people with severe withdrawal symptoms or complex medical needs. You’ll receive constant monitoring, emergency care if needed and FDA approved prescription medications.

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.

Women's programs offer a safe and supportive space to focus on gender specific issues such as trauma, family roles and mental health conditions. Therapists tailor the sessions to address women's needs and foster empowerment in a healing and nurturing environment.
