About 10 Acre Ranch
Known as the birthplace of the state’s citrus industry, Riverside, California, is also home to 10 Acre Ranch. This private treatment center has provided comprehensive care for adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders for over 25 years.
You can access detox services for alcohol or opioids. They also offer residential and day treatment options to continue your journey.
Specialized Tracks for Indigenous Communities
For me, their treatment program for members of Indigenous communities really stood out. They provide a blend of traditional practices and expert backed approaches to help you reach recovery. You can participate in ceremonies and teachings created by Elders in the native community who have personally experienced addiction.
They help you understand and address intergenerational trauma. They provide specialized group therapies like the medicine wheel, culturally appropriate 12 Step programs, the mending broken hearts group, traditional sweat lodges and art therapy.
Pet Friendly Rehab
Another wonderful feature I noticed was that they’re pet friendly. Stepping away from your loved ones to focus on recovery can be challenging. They make things a bit more comfortable by allowing you to have your pet by your side. You’ll benefit from rebuilding trust while giving and receiving unconditional love to support your journey.
Attentive Care
I also think it’s fantastic that they have small group sizes. You can receive personalized, attentive care in groups no larger than six. They also offer low staff to client ratios of one to four. You’ll have a supportive space that prioritizes meeting your needs and helping you reach your recovery goals.
Staff with Recovery Experience
Additionally, it’s great that much of their staff is in recovery. You’ll benefit from compassion, understanding and unique perspectives from professionals who were once in your shoes.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
PHP
Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
-
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis programs address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions simultaneously. This integrated approach to care improves the likelihood of long term recovery and stability by addressing the root causes of addiction.
