Hope By the Sea
About Hope By the Sea
Hope by the Sea is a state-of-the art drug and alcohol rehab facility in sunny San Juan Capistrano, California. It’s down the road from Doheny Beach and the Pacific Coast.
They’re in network with many health plans that include Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and TRICARE. Hope by the Sea is accredited by The Joint Commission which would give me peace of mind if I needed to seek treatment for myself or a loved one.
I like the touch a family-owned company has. Hope by the Sea began as a family-operated six-bed facility that is now one of the premier centers in California. It offers detox, residential treatment, outpatient and extended care. They can even pick you up from the airport if you’re from out of the area.
One of the things I find most striking is the variety of speciality tracks on offer. From a Christian track to a non-12 Step track, they have different treatment styles to suit lots of different clients.
Their medical detox program focuses on helping clients heal their mind, body and spirit. During detox, you’ll be kept comfortable as your body purges itself of toxic chemicals. Just as important is the emotional experience of withdrawal. I like that this facility understands that it can be an overwhelming experience and is in place to guide clients through the process. Detox can take up to two weeks to complete.
From the outside, Hope by the Sea looks like a large residential home. But inside it’s a luxurious, well-appointed facility with everything you need for your recovery. There’s an onsite outdoor pool and laundry facilities as well as access to a full-service fitness center with basketball court.
