About Amity Foundation of California
Along the southern banks of Lake Winnebago in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, you’ll find Community Medical Services Fond du Lac. Since 1983, this outpatient clinic has provided medication assisted treatment (MAT) for adults battling opioid use disorder. They accept insurance plans including Medicaid.
Healing Through Medication Assisted Treatment
With MAT, you can address the physical and psychological aspects of quitting opioids simultaneously. They prescribe FDA approved medications, including naltrexone, methadone, and Suboxone, to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. You’ll also participate in group and individual counseling, peer support, and other services to gain the tools for lasting recovery.
Pregnancy Support Services
For me, their pregnancy support services really stood out. They coordinate with your OBGYN and other medical providers to offer specialized support for expectant mothers.
You can access MAT with methadone to work towards recovery. They also provide neonatal abstinence syndrome education and pregnancy peer support groups.
Criminal Justice Involved Tracks
Another standout feature is their correctional health services. They collaborate with federal and state prisons to offer comprehensive care for people involved in the criminal justice system. You can access ongoing support, including opioid use disorder screenings, peer support education and services, and coordinated care.
Recovery Connect App
I also think their Recovery Connect app is helpful. With this HIPPA compliant app, you can connect with your counselor in real time and receive support whenever you need it.
You can use it to work towards your take home goals and receive rewards for consistent dosing. A reviewer praised the facility for giving them all the necessary tools they needed to get clean.
Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
Detox Service Setting
-
Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.
-
Outpatient Detox
Outpatient detox gives you access to medically supervised withdrawal services while still allowing you to live at home. You’ll attend a clinic for treatment and monitoring. This flexible option is suitable for those with mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms who have strong support systems.
Programs
-
Alcohol Detox
Alcohol detox programs offer medical support to help individuals withdraw safely from alcohol. Your care team may use medications to ease your symptoms and provide medical monitoring to address complications.
-
Drug Detox
Drug detox programs support individuals who are withdrawing from addictive substances like cocaine and heroin. Medical support helps you manage symptoms in a controlled and safe environment so you can achieve initial sobriety.
