Azure Acres Recovery Center
About Azure Acres Recovery Center
Azure Acres Recovery Center provides substance use treatment to adult men and women in Sebastopol, California. The organization is CARF-accredited and a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. They are also licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services and the State Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.
The center is on a wooded 30 acres. You will be minutes away from the Pacific Ocean and not too far from Charles Schulz’s former studio. The atmosphere will be welcoming and warm with an intimate setting. They do accept health insurance which includes TriWest. They will be able to help if you have a co-occurring mental health condition but you must have a primary diagnosis of substance abuse.
Before you begin residential treatment, you will begin your withdrawal process in the detox program. Their staff will ensure that your time in detox is as comfortable and safe as possible. The facility has a Tudor facade that provides a welcoming atmosphere. The warm colors and plenty of natural lighting mesh with the surrounding woodland, where you can unwind. You’ll also receive plenty of care, as you’ll be provided care by their healthcare professionals that are available round the clock.
They do encourage you to attend therapy sessions while you are in the detox process. Depending on your withdrawal symptoms, you will be able to attend individual counseling, group sessions, and participate in recreational activities. I do like that they have an open door policy which allows you to have complete accessibility to the counselors and staff. The open floor plan encourages fellowship and transparency.
During your time in group sessions, a varying number of topics will be discussed. You’ll receive family education, relapse prevention education, psychoeducation and attend experiential groups. Once you complete your detox program, you’ll be able to move into their residential care program.
