About Balboa Horizons Treatment Services

Balboa Horizons Treatment Services is a private addiction treatment facility located on the oceanfront in Newport Beach, California offering a full continuum of substance use disorder care for adults, young adults and adolescents.

The facility provides medically supervised detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs and aftercare support with gender specific programming.

Treatment is rooted in a 12 step approach combined with trauma informed, individualized care designed to address both substance use and underlying issues.

Medically Supervised Detox for Alcohol, Opioids and Stimulants

Balboa Horizons operates separate facilities for men and women, recognizing that recovery needs differ across genders. The Newport Beach location serves women while a Costa Mesa facility serves men, creating tailored programming within an intimate family like environment with high staff to client ratios.

Treatment begins with 24 hour medically supervised detox for alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines and stimulants, then transitions through residential and outpatient levels as clients progress.

Evidence based therapies like CBT, DBT and EMDR are integrated with individual, group and family counseling, while medication assisted treatment with buprenorphine, naltrexone and Vivitrol supports opioid addiction recovery.
