About Care and Drug Treatment Programs

Carnales Unidos Reformando Adictos or C.U.R.A., is a men’s residential addiction treatment center in Freemont, California. They’ve been operating for more than 50 years. The residential facility is not far from the Dumbarton Bridge and Coyote Hills Regional Park and offers residents outdoor areas to explore and enjoy.

Medically Supervised Withdrawal

This men’s residential treatment program offers an immersive environment where men receive the tools and support they need to achieve and sustain recovery. This includes medical supervision during withdrawal and support for co-occurring mental health conditions. Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) teamed up with behavioral therapy increases the likelihood of preventing relapse.

Evidence Based Treatment in a Stable Environment

The residential facility helps remove you from triggers in the environment, providing a stable foundation that is conducive to recovery. The staff provides 24/7 support during recovery, which improves safety and comfort. You benefit from structured routines that include individual and group therapy as well as being a part of a peer community that reduces feelings of isolation.

After completing residential treatment, you have access to their sober living environment in Oakland, helping you find full time employment and developing a support system that promotes sobriety. They’re a nonprofit behavior modification program that’s fully licensed by the state of California.
