About LifeLong East Bay Community Recovery Project: Project Pride
LifeLong East Bay Community Recovery Project: Project Pride is a specialized mental health and addiction treatment program for women in Oakland, California. Support is available to pregnant and parenting women, with kids up to the age of 6 allowed to stay in care alongside their mothers.
Care extends to women involved in the criminal justice system, as well as those experiencing or at risk of homelessness or unstable housing. Medi Cal is accepted, alongside other public health insurance plans. Sliding scale fees are also available to those eligible.
Specialized Rehab for Moms
This is a residential drug rehab program specifically designed for pregnant women and mothers. A limited number of rooms are also kept aside for women who aren’t pregnant or parenting. Meanwhile, extra services are also provided to support loved ones and family members.
The program includes various treatment methods, like mental health and addiction counseling, tobacco cessation support, as well as comprehensive case management services. Specialized care is also available to individuals who have experienced homelessness.
Caring for Both You and Your Kids
Residents can expect to receive support through life skills and parenting sessions. Meanwhile, children are supervised and cared for through supportive care services. Children are provided with education too, as well as art, music and play therapy.
While detox services aren’t provided here, the team can help refer residents to relevant local providers.
Accessible Behavioral and Drug Rehab Services
The center also provides various outpatient programs. These are based on the ground floor of the facility with ADA accessibility. You’ll also have access to free street parking, and for those who don’t drive, the center is served by various major transit routes including AC Transit #72.
