Fort Help Methadone Program
About Fort Help Methadone Program
Fort Help Methadone Program is a private, accredited nonprofit addiction treatment center based in San Francisco, California, that serves adults struggling with substance abuse issues. It’s an LGBTQ+ friendly facility that also accepts pregnant and postpartum individuals.
Medicare and Medicaid are accepted, along with cash and self-pay options. Sliding scale fees and payment assistance are also available to those eligible.
An Outpatient Detox Center & Addiction Treatment Program
All clients here can access opioid detox services to begin their recovery journey, with medication assisted treatment (MAT) to facilitate the process. In this way, individuals can feel safe during this uncomfortable stage of recovery, while being allowed to return to the familiarity of their homes at the end of each day.
FDA-approved medications you may be prescribed include buprenorphine, methadone or naltrexone dosed alongside regular therapy sessions for a holistic treatment approach. Clients might engage with motivational interviewing (MI), the Matrix Model, trauma-related counseling, relapse prevention, or targeted substance use disorder counseling alongside MAT. It’s worth noting that vaping and smoking aren’t allowed on the premises.
Additional Support Services in San Francisco
Comprehensive assessments are offered here to keep tabs on clients’ overall health and wellbeing. Just some of these include medical history assessments and complete physical exams, as well as screenings for mental health and substance use.
Drug testing services include oral fluid, urine, breathalyzer and blood alcohol testing. STD tests and TB screenings are also available, along with tests for Hepatitis C (HCV).
You can receive education on conditions associated with addiction like Hep C, HIV and AIDS, as well as counseling services and support. Social and recovery support services include support with housing, as well as mentoring and peer support.
