About MFI Recovery Center A Womens Place
A Woman’s Place, part of the MFI Recovery Center network, is a drug rehab in Riverside, California. The center provides residential medical detox, inpatient programs (IP), and aftercare for pregnant women and women with children.
At A Woman’s Place, clients receive a structured environment to manage their withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol, to prevent relapse, while counselors provide emotional support to assist with trauma and depression. Meals, exercise programs, and 24/7 supervision are available throughout the recovery.
During and after detox, A Woman’s Place provides family planning and counseling, which can include parenting classes, education workshops, career counseling, and life skills development. Childcare and play areas are available for children throughout the program. An alumni network is also available. The facility may make referrals to other MFI Recovery Center locations or outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse programs.
MFI Recovery Center offers a self-pay option of $7,500 for a 30-day residential program, with $8,500 for residential plus detox. Medi-Cal is accepted, and the center is in-network with Aetna, Anthem BlueCross, Beacon, Cigna, ComPsych, Humana, Magellan Health, MultiPlan, Teamsters, TRICARE, and United Behavioral Health. Having struggled with her mental health, Gemma has spent much of her writing career focused on topics surrounding behavioral health and stigmatized health issues, such as eating disorders, depression, obesity, and sexually transmitted diseases. It was a natural step to write about addiction, with her background in Biology and Research Science playing a key role in understanding chemical dependency as a disease. By writing about drug rehabilitation in an accessible and compassionate way, she hopes more people will feel encouraged to seek help.
