About Our Common Ground
Our Common Ground is a nonprofit addiction treatment center in Palo Alto, California offering residential rehab and co-occurring mental health care for adult men working toward lasting recovery.
The program blends withdrawal management, short and long term residential treatment, aftercare and transitional living connections.
Rooted in a strengths based therapeutic community model, Our Common Ground emphasizes peer support, structured daily living and trauma informed care.
Detox, Therapy and MAT
Treatment often begins with an assessment and when needed, medically supported detox for alcohol or opioid withdrawal.
Clients then step into residential care, where a structured peer community, case management and recovery planning support deeper healing from substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Within the residential program, clients can expect group therapy, family therapy and CBT, motivational interviewing and REBT, relapse prevention and 12 step facilitation.
Medication assisted treatment options such as buprenorphine and naltrexone, along with life skills classes, job training and discharge planning, help prepare clients for sustainable reintegration.
