Sacramento Recovery House

About Sacramento Recovery House
River City Recovery Center is a men-only drug recovery home based in Sacramento, California. Support is available to men aged 18 and older, including those who have experienced trauma or have concurrent mental health issues.
Rent is $4,500.00 each month, but they do offer sliding scales.
A Bit of Background on the Facility
Founded in 1964, this center is at the junction of the American and Sacramento Rivers, in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood. There are various parks and community resources nearby to support your wellbeing, and that can be incorporated into your personalized recovery plan.
There’s a capacity for up to 17 residents, making care much more hands-on and intimate than other, similar facilities. Many of the staff are also in recovery themselves, so can relate strongly to where you’re at and what you’re going through.
All residents are expected to get stuck into scheduled chores and duties to help foster a sense of accountability and responsibility as well as collective pride and ownership of the facility.
A 12-Step-Informed Residential Drug Rehab For Men
Residents tend to have already gone through inpatient care. Detox services are not provided here should a relapse occur, although the team may be able to refer you to local facilities that do. It’s always recommended that detox and withdrawal management are done under the supervision of a medical professional because this stage can be quite volatile and risky.
As for the residential program, expect structured live-in care, with programs running 30, 60, or 90 days. Regardless of length, 12-step approaches are what guide the treatment plan. Every resident is required to attend at least one community 12-step meet up each day.
You can also expect daily addiction education classes, as well as one-on-one and group therapy sessions. Work therapy is also incorporated for those who are out of work and searching, providing them with only the best support to help them get back on their feet both personally, and in their careers post-recovery.
