Recover Integrity in Los Angeles, California, offers extended addiction care for men. Their mission is to help men in recovery with their integrity by offering programs and treatments with integrity.
Medication Assisted Treatment
The center prefers to use modernized approaches instead of medication assisted treatment. However, if you need medication for detox they will prescribe it. You may be referred to one of their residential treatment facilities for inpatient detox.
Modernized Treatment Approaches
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a treatment preferred by the facility over medication. The treatment is not invasive and simply uses magnetic fields to stimulate mood regulating parts of the brain.
Electroconvulsive therapy is used for clients with a severe diagnosis. This form of therapy stimulates the client’s brain.
Ketamine assisted therapy is administered to clients who are suffering from depression and anxiety. We know that most substance users are self medicating due to similar diagnoses. We believe that treating these underlying issues allows for more effective treatment of substance use disorders.
Treatment Plan for Substance Use
A client’s treatment plan usually includes two individual therapy sessions per week with group sessions several times per week. Clients are encouraged to attend community 12 step support groups and meditate each morning.
Other treatment modalities include neurofeedback sessions, weekend outings with peers, and case management. While the majority of clients choose residential treatment, outpatient treatment is also available.

Kimberly Hawkins holds a Masters degree in Computing and Information Sciences from East Tennessee State University. On Valentine’s Day of 2024, Kimberly’s only sibling passed away of an accidental drug overdose. Since then, Kimberly has become a passionate advocate for addiction recovery awareness and support.
Gayle Morris, BSN, MSN, received her bachelor’s from the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center and her first master’s from the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She practiced nursing for over two decades with a focus on pediatric physical rehabilitation, which required mental health skills to help children, and their parents work through new challenges after a head injury or spinal cord injury. She has been a freelance writer in health, wellness, and mental health for over 15 years. She loves exercise, her dogs and guinea pigs, and gardening.
