Visalia Rescue Mission
About Visalia Rescue Mission
Visalia Rescue Mission is a faith-based nonprofit in Visalia, California, serving individuals facing homelessness, addiction and other life-controlling challenges across Tulare and Kings Counties.
The organization offers a year-long residential Life Change Recovery Program for men and women, combining professional counseling, group therapy and case management.
Its mission is to confront homelessness and addiction with Christ-centered care that helps guests build hopeful, restored futures.
Christ-Centered Life Change Recovery Program
The Life Change Recovery Program is a one-year residential recovery track with up to 12 months of additional transitional opportunities.
Men and women live on separate campuses for safety, and basic needs like meals, shelter and daily support are covered throughout the stay.
Participants engage in one-on-one professional counseling, group therapy, 12-step instruction and recovery classes that address trauma, abuse, and destructive behaviors.
Whole-Person Restoration and Reentry Support
Beyond clinical recovery, the Mission emphasizes practical life rebuilding through parenting classes, financial responsibility, relationship boundaries and workforce development.
Reentry supports include computer classes, resume help, mock interviews and wardrobe assistance to prepare graduates for stable employment and independent living.
Serving Visalia and the Central Valley
Visalia Rescue Mission operates multiple in-person sites across Visalia, including a community center, men’s shelter and the Serenity Center for Women & Children, serving the greater Central Valley region.
As a nonprofit ministry, the Mission provides its recovery program and shelter services to guests in need without traditional billing or insurance requirements.
