Inyo County’s Health and Human Services Substance Abuse program offers alcohol and drug rehab services in Bishop, California. The center provides ambulatory detox, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized programs are available for adolescents, pregnant and postpartum women, and justice-involved persons. Services are available in English, Spanish, and other languages.

At Inyo County’s substance abuse programs, a structured environment is made available for clients to ease their withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. In ambulatory social detox, clients participate in individual and group counseling, receive peer support, and are supervised by a case management team to discourage relapse.

In addition to detox, clients undergo counseling to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. A hotline and family resources are available, and clients may also receive medication management for selected mental health conditions. Referrals may be given for outsider facilities and programs.
