With an all female professional staff and a therapeutic community approach, Journey Home creates a safe and supportive environment where women can heal from addiction, trauma and the patterns that keep them stuck.

Women Focused Addiction Treatment

Journey Home specializes in gender specific care for women dealing with substance use disorders, trauma and anxiety, depression and eating disorders. The facility also offers specialized support for pregnant and postpartum women, as well as survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse recognizing that women’s recovery needs are unique and require tailored treatment.

Treatment integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and contingency management, anger management and brief intervention techniques alongside psychiatric services and neuropsychological testing for dual diagnosis support. Sessions focus on emotional regulation, behavior modification and lifestyle changes that address both the symptoms and root causes of addiction.

Five Phase Recovery Model

Journey Home uses a structured five phase program where advancement is based on individual progress rather than predetermined timeframes. Getting Started with Care

Journey Home serves the greater Baton Rouge area and surrounding Louisiana communities from its residential facility in Denham Springs with additional outpatient, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs available.

The facility accepts private health insurance including PPO and HMO plans, Medicare and state insurance, SAMHSA funding and offers sliding fee scale options and self pay.
