About McAlister Institute for Trt and Educ (MITE)/Options Residential/Kiva
McAlister Institute is an alcohol and drug rehab in Lemon Grove, California for young adults and adults. The center provides residential social detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP) and outpatient programs (OP), supportive housing, and aftercare. Specialized services are available for teenagers, gender-specific groups, justice-involved clients, and pregnant and postpartum women.
McAlister Institute provides a structured environment for clients to ease their withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. The Adult Detox facility includes holistic treatment and counseling, enrollment into 12 Steps Programs, and medication management as needed. The program lasts 12 to 14 days.
The Kiva facility accepts women only, including pregnant and parenting women. Clients in the Kiva facility may transition into inpatient care, which can last for 90 days and includes childcare and parenting classes.
