In Oceanside California, SOAP MAT provides outpatient medication assisted treatment to adult clients who struggle with opioid use. They combine medications like Suboxone and methadone with ongoing counseling and support to help you lay the groundwork for long term sobriety.
At SOAP MAT, they start by screening you and doing some intake assessments to ensure they understand your needs. Then, they work on treatment planning to move you toward recovery. You might go through a 21 or 180 day detox, and then you’ll be on maintenance medication during treatment.
The length of treatment depends on a doctor’s recommendation and your unique situation, but you don’t need a specific end date to get started. As you are more successful with your treatment, you may gain eligibility for take home medication and fewer clinic visits.
Interestingly, SOAP MAT works with jails and prisons when possible to provide ongoing MAT treatment to clients who end up in the justice system. This does have an additional fee, but it can help keep you or your loved one on track. However, not all jails allow this access.
