About Transitions Buprenorphine Clinic of Sacramento
Formerly known as Priorities Clinic, Transitions Buprenorphine Clinic of Sacramento, California is a nonprofit that provides medication assisted addiction treatment services to adults. They have recently begun accepting various insurance plans, including Medi-Cal.
MAT for Opioid Addiction
Founded in 2008 by Dr.Flynn, the facility began as a small free Saturday clinic supported by UC Davis School of Medicine, offering buprenorphine to individuals struggling with opioid addiction. As demand for these services grew, additional help was needed, and the clinic joined with Harm Reduction Services to become what was then known as Priorities Clinic.
Now, the center regularly serves over 500 clients, and has since expanded its services. It became a nonprofit in 2022 and offers a range of addiction treatment services, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) along with counseling and mental health services. Guided by a harm reduction mindset, the team continuously aims to provide affordable, comprehensive care to all.
Support For Pregnant Individuals
Pregnant individuals can also access specialized MAT services here, with professionals monitoring and controlling the dosages of medication to ensure both mother and baby are safe. They also love to meet the babies once they’re born, and when they accompany their mamas to the clinic.
