Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Recovery Center offers inpatient detoxification services for patients with a dependency on alcohol and/or benzodiazepines, such as Valium, Xanax or Klonopin. The detox process is medically supervised and designed to reduce the risk of life threatening withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal from other substances is treated through an outpatient program because symptoms are not life threatening.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to help patients who have a difficult time developing the habits, attitudes and support structure to maintain freedom from dependency. IOP is based on the latest research and tools for addiction recovery, typically with a recommended 12-Step program such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. The Intensive Outpatient Program when paired with a 12-step program greatly increases the rate of recovery.
The Outpatient Group Program is ongoing. They provide a lower level of accountability to those who have been through a more structured program but would like a small support group to supplement their recovery efforts.
The Tallahassee Memorial Recovery Center also offers outpatient counseling sessions and seminars. They provide help with mental health issues, family relationships and other life transition coping skills.
